Dr. Matos has evaluated and treated Workers’ Compensation claimants for more than 25 years and has been a State of California Qualified Medical Evaluator since 1993. Dr. Matos is sought after as a medical-legal evaluator due to his insight into complex medical-legal issues. His well-reasoned reports have facilitated the resolution of hundreds of cases within the Workers’ Compensation system.
Dr. Matos graduated from the Faculte de Medicine de Paris in Paris, France, in 1968. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Orthopaedic Hospital Los Angeles, UCLA Medical Center and the VA Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
